My name is Daniel Korcsmar. I am an architectural engineer, artist, and entrepreneur.

My story began after I lost vision in my left eye following a martial arts accident. I spent weeks in hospital, often lying face down with my eyes closed, unable to move. In those long hours of stillness, my father read to me from The Lord of the Rings. I listened. I contemplated.

When I healed I received a book from my mother on pencil drawing. I practiced. I wanted to become an architect. And I fell in love with painting. I kept reading and creating whenever I could. Mainly to process the difficulties life throws at us. To alchemise pain into something beautiful.

And so the character of a modern decadent samurai in an age of digital revolution was born. I share my experiences and inner work as The Acid Samurai, and I open the laboratory of my mind so that others might see more in themselves than the world usually allows.
